CINE PRAGUE festival was founded by Stanislav Skricka – an internationally acclaimed director and recipient of numerous prestigious awards from film festivals worldwide.
Among his most recent achievements is the extraordinary Special Recognition awarded by the jury of the prestigious Green Film Festival Italia for the film Desert Reforestation. This festival, held under the auspices of UNESCO and the European Parliament, is led by legendary actor and festival president Franco Nero.
In addition to his directing work, his colleagues in the feature film industry value his distinctive acting presence and cast him in significant supporting roles – most recently he worked under the direction of Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. He also played a supporting role in the film Franz directed by Agnieszka Holland. Audiences can also see him alongside Jean Reno in the film Werewolves of the Dark Forest.
It is precisely this combination of top-tier filmmaking craftsmanship, international experience, and visionary approach that forms the solid foundation of the Cine Prague festival.
